Feeling hungry, have to prepare some dish for offering , a quick evening snack ? Bellada avalakki/sihi avalakki/Gud Poha is the answer. This does not require fire. A very easy to prepare energy snack for sugar supplementation. A soothing combination of coconut, jaggery, cardamom and coconut leaves you asking for more.

- Time - 10 - 15 min
- Serves - 4 small bowls

- Avalakki/poha/Beaten rice - thick variety - 1 cup
- Powdered jagerry - 3/4 - cup
- Coconut grated - 3/4 cup
- cardamom powder - 1/4 tea spoon
- Wash and soak avalakki till soft (will take 10 min)
- Grate coconut, powder jagerry and cardamom
- Drain water from avalakki and mix all the ingredients.
- This sweet avalakki may be prepared when ever you soak avalakki for avalakki oggarane/ kanda poha/ Huli Avalakki
- Dry fruits , Ripe banana, roasted sesame seeds can be added to enhance nutrition and taste.
